On 22 September 2026, the Zhejiang final of the 11th “Maker in China” SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition concluded in Wenzhou. Zhejiang NavCore Innovations Technology Co., Ltd. won two honours: Second Prize in the Start-up Group, ranking third in the province, and the Most Popular Award.
About the competition
“Maker in China” is a national innovation and entrepreneurship competition jointly organised by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Finance. The Zhejiang final brought together 30 finalist projects – 19 in the Enterprise Group and 11 in the Start-up Group.
Each project had an 8-minute presentation followed by a 4-minute Q&A, scored by a panel of seven judges, with the highest and lowest scores removed. NavCore scored 90.12 points to take third place in the Start-up Group. Both award medals were issued by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology.
The Most Popular Award was voted by the audience and fellow participants, reflecting the interest visitors showed in the project at the event.
Earlier, at the Wenzhou regional final of the same competition, NavCore won the only Special Prize in the Start-up Group.
The award-winning project
NavCore’s entry was “R&D and Industrialisation of Industrial-Grade WAG-Ring MEMS Inertial Navigation Chips”. The project develops a high-performance MEMS inertial navigation chip for applications that need to know precisely where they are and which way they are heading, such as commercial aerospace, UAVs, autonomous driving and robotics.
Technically, it uses a fourth-generation WAG-Ring full-angle mode approach. The core ring resonator architecture is independently developed by NavCore across design, manufacturing, packaging and testing, and the control algorithm moves from conventional force-feedback to full-angle mode.

At the same event, NavCore was formally admitted to the “Specialised, Refined, Distinctive and Innovative” (SRDI) board of the Zhejiang Equity Exchange Center (enterprise code: 866610).
